John and Suzanne welcome you to the Red Lion, Kirtling.
Kirtling and Upend form an ancient and picturesque village which dates back to Saxon times. The Red Lion is the last remaining pub in the village and we understand that the oldest records of a pub on this site date back to the 1600’s. The pub is a Grade II listed free house which retains many of its original features.
Kirtling is a popular village often frequented by walkers and ramblers, the Red Lion is a dog friendly pub open five days a week for hearty, traditional home cooked meals and light lunches whilst serving a selection of Real Ales and Gins.
